What put you on the path to engineering? My interest in engineering started with a curiosity about how electrical systems power and connect our everyday lives. This curiosity naturally led me to pursue studies in electronic and electrical power engineering.
Something that surprised me about working in an engineering firm: What surprised me most is how collaborative the work is. Successful projects rely not only on technical expertise but also on strong communication and coordination across multiple disciplines.
Something people might not know about what mechanical/electrical engineers do: Many people don’t realize that electrical engineers play a key role in designing safe, reliable, and efficient power distribution systems that support buildings, infrastructure, and critical operations.
How mechanical/electrical engineering improves lives: Electrical engineering improves lives by enabling safe and reliable access to power, which is essential for homes, businesses, healthcare, and modern infrastructure.
I chose Vancouver because: Its balance between a vibrant city life and access to nature, as well as its growing engineering and infrastructure opportunities.
