I grew up in Newbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland.
My education: Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering.
My notable accomplishments: I take pride in pushing myself to improve, whether it’s mastering new skills or taking on challenging projects.
Why Flow? Flow offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects that have tangible impacts on spaces around us in Vancouver.
What’s your favourite type of cake? It depends on the setting. Birthdays, I’m all for chocolate cake. If it’s a small treat or with a cup of tea, then carrot cake.
My earliest engineering-related memory: The hands-on work I did with my dad on his motorcycle. Those moments, figuring out how things worked and putting them back together, sparked my interest in engineering.
What I like about systems design: I get satisfaction in seeing a project come to life from start to finish, knowing all the details I’ve worked on are coming together.
What I love about working with clients: The opportunity to understand their unique needs and challenges. It’s rewarding to turn their vision into reality and build lasting relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
I’m inspired by: Engineers who think outside the box, challenging conventional wisdom and approaching problems from fresh angles.
When I’m not working you can find me: Catching up with friends, hiking around Vancouver, golfing and relaxing at home.
On my playlist: Pretty much everything. A bit of classical rock, rap, some 80s tunes and even some house/techno.
I’m surprisingly good at: Sketching. I’ve got a knack for bringing ideas to life on paper, which runs in the family.
At happy hour I order a pint of beer or a cocktail.
Coffee or tea: Coffee for mornings and tea for unwinding in the evenings.
