I grew up in Delta, BC.

My education: ECET Diploma, BCIT; Bachelor of Technology in Electronics, BCIT (ongoing).

Why Flow? At Flow, I get the opportunity to take the concepts I studied and cared about in school and apply them in the real world.

What’s your favourite type of cake? Tiramisu or Tres Leches, depending on how I feel that day.

What put me on the path to engineering: As a kid, my idea of engineering was floating in space with a wrench outside of the International Space Station. (My career has yet to live up to that.)

Earliest engineering-related memory: Borrowing a book on quantum mechanics in elementary school and pretending I understood the concepts.

Projects I’m proud of: Working with BC Hydro engineers to create non-standard engineered solutions on distribution projects.

A favourite moment in engineering: Seeing the first few pictures that came back from the James Webb Telescope.

How mechanical/electrical engineering improves lives: Our phones, cars, plumbing, heating—pretty much anything we interact with—are products of engineering.

I chose Vancouver because my family moved here with I was six months old—I stayed for the Canucks.

When I’m not working you can find me playing hockey or training in Muay Thai.

What I value beyond myself: Family.

Coffe or tea: Iced coffee.
