I grew up in North Vancouver, BC
My education: Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering at UBC
My notable accomplishments: Capstone Best Project 2025
Why Flow? I appreciate how much Flow cares about the people we work with. The passion is evident and that’s the type of place I want to learn within.
What’s your favourite type of Cake? Sticky toffee pudding!
What put you on the path to engineering? In grade 9 I loved soldering circuits and experimenting with Arduino. I made a lesson plan and taught the rest of my shop class.
My earliest engineering-related memory: Making a motorized ‘bug’ that rumbled across my kitchen floor.
Something that surprised me about working in an engineering firm: The social culture and sense of comradery.
What I like about systems design: As a designer, you have to problem solve constantly. You get to investigate onsite and collaborate with all different types of professionals to piece together the best solution.
A favourite moment in engineering: Driving our racecar at UBC Formula Electric! It’s like extreme go-karting.
What I love about working with clients: People are what matters, and working with them directly is most rewarding! Everyone is different and that’s what keeps it interesting.
I’m inspired by: My friends in engineering. We all started as students together before our careers even began, and I like watching how their dedication leads to their professional achievements.
I’m concerned about: Climate change
When I’m not working you can find me: Getting outside, having a beach day, and doing anything and everything with my friends.
I’m surprisingly good at: Crochet! Ask me to make any animal (although octopus is my expertise)
At happy hour I order: Nachos and the cheapest beer!
