I grew up in Taiwan till age 14 and then Vancouver, BC.
My education: Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering (with distiction).
Why Flow? Flow combines technical excellence, long-term market potential, and a supportive team environment that motivates me to contribute and keep advancing.
What’s your favourite type of cake? Tiramisu. I really enjoy the layered textures and subtle flavors. It’s a classic for a reason.
Earliest engineering-related memory: When I was a kid, my dad bought me an RC helicopter. One time, it made a loud pop and started smoking while charging, so I opened it up to see what was wrong and tried to fix it by removing the burnt component with tweezers.
Something people might not know about what electrical engineers do: Many people don’t realize that we not only design and maintain electrical systems but also work extensively on ensuring safety, energy efficiency, and integrating smart technologies into buildings and infrastructure.
What I love about Flow projects: The opportunity to engage with professionals from diverse industries, learn about their unique challenges and build connections that drive successful collaborations.
My dream project is: Designing a substation that optimizes power distribution and ensures system reliability through efficient load management and minimizing energy losses.
I chose Vancouver because of its exceptional access to outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, and fishing.
Quote that guides me right now: “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.” — Buddha
I’m surprisingly good at math! I never got below 97 in college.
